Are you ready to present your students a fun out of the box activity? Are you ready to give your students an interactive engaging assignment they can do asynchronously? Do you want to do it for free? Do you want it to grade itself? Could use a customizable activity suitable for all grades and contents?
Then look no further than virtual escape rooms!
Escape rooms are great tools for review, remediation, or differentiation, because they have the students practicing the same types of questions you would put on a worksheet, but with a puzzle element to boost engagement. With the use of Google forms, in or out of the classroom students will get the practice you need from them and the non-academic challenges they enjoy.
This session will:
1) Demonstrate different themes and puzzles you can use for your escape rooms,
2) Show how to create forms to be used in escape rooms,
3) Cover and model the steps of linking the forms to your created room,
4) Teach how you can copy or edit a room to fit your needs,
5) Explain how to introduce escape rooms and their instructions to your students; and
6) Provide examples of how to increase or decrease the difficulty of virtual escape rooms.
Come learn how to make engaging, enriching activities that the kids call, "really fun!"
